The energetic materials plant is located in Valleyfield about 60 km from the Corporate Office in Le Gardeur (Montreal). Since 1944, its mission is to manufacture extruded propellants of all types such as:
- Single base propellant for military and sporting applications
- Double base propellant mainly for military applications (small/medium caliber ammunition)
- Triple-base propellant for large caliber ammunition
GD-OTS Canada Valleyfield Inc. manufactures also the basic explosive devices for the inflation of automotive airbags.
